The Ford Maverick is one of the hottest vehicles on the market today with the lowest priced hybrid truck. For 2025, the Ford Maverick came out with a lowered version called the Lobo. Lobo was announced by us in a video on August 1st. The Lobo will be available in early 2025 with production starting in February.
In the initial release of the Lobo trim is comes standard with all the equipment you will find on the Lariat and Tremor trim like the Adaptive Cruise Control, 360 Degree Camera, B&O Sound System, Power Sliding Rear Window, Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Seats, and more. That version of the Lobo is called the High 702A Equipment Group by Ford.
There is another version or equipment group packaging for the Lobo called the 402A Equipment Group. This version will come in $5500 lower in price than the 702A. This version of the Lobo will have all the same performance with the 7-Speed Quick Shift Transmission, Advanced 4WD with Twin Clutch Rear Drive Unit, Performance Tuning Steering, Lobo Drive Mode, Paddle Shifters, Enhanced Brakes, Tuned Suspension for the Springs, Shocks, and lowered ride height.
Exterior features on the Lobo 402A will include 19” Turbofan-styled Black Painted Aluminum Wheels, Black Painted Roof, Fog Lamps, LED Box Lighting, LED Projector Headlamps with Signature Lightning, LED Taillamps, Unique Front Fascia, and black front and rear logos. Ford has given it a sport look by having body color painted door handles, rear bumper, rockers, front fascia, and grille bars.
Both versions of the Lobo will come with ActiveX seats with green and blue accent stitching, as well as come standard with the Co-Pilot 360 Package which will include Blind Spot Monitoring, Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping System. I like to compare the equipment on the Lobo 402A to the XLT which is where Ford puts the Lobo on the order guide, right after the XLT and before the Lariat.
The job 2 order bank should be opening soon with those orders available for February production dates, arriving at dealerships as early as March of 2025. To stay updated on all Ford news, updates, and information follow FordVideoGuy on social media or go to www.youtube.com/@longmcarthurford
