2025 Bronco Big Bend gets standard Mid Package but Loses Some Standard Features

Ford made some big changes to the 2025 Ford Bronco. The order banks have opened up but we are still waiting to see the build and price on Ford’s website. Ford has “trimmed” back this year with the removal of the Everglades, Wildtrak, Black Diamond, and Heritage Limited Edition trims. The Black Diamond can be found on the Big Bend with the new Black Diamond Package. If you want the exact look you would want to add the new Black Appearance Package as well.

The trims for this year include Base, Big Bend (4 door only) , Heritage Edition (4 Door only), Outer Banks (4 door only), Badlands, Stroppe Edition (2 Door only), and Raptor (4 Door only). New colors include Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat. Many colors were removed like Cactus Gray, Iconic Silver, Race Red, Rapid Red Tinted Clearcoat, Peak Blue, and Yellowstone.

As an owner of a 2021 Ford Bronco Big Bend I want to talk about all the changes on a trim that was the base trim in the 2024 model year. Ford removed the option for a base Big Bend by making the Mid Package standard on all Big Bends but did remove the Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror from the package for just the Big Bend. The Outer Banks and Badlands still have the Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror on the Mid Package. Ford also removed the Fog Lamps and Interior Grab Handle on the Console from the standard equipment. Those wanting that would need to order the Black Diamond Package.

Ford removed the cloth seats from the Ford Bronco in 2024 but have returned them to the Base and Big Bend along with carpeted flooring. Those that want the vinyl seats with the washout flooring and Molle system can add it as optional equipment. Some other things that were removed from the Big Bend stand alone options that I have on my Bronco are the Auxiliary Switches and LED Signature Lighting. Both are available in the Black Diamond Package. Ford also changed the Sasquatch Package on the Big Bend, if you want it you will need to order the Black Diamond Package or the Free Wheeling Package.

Ford did added several options to the Big Bend though, like the Black Painted Hardtop and the Raptor Style Running Boards. The Raptor Style Running Boards will require the Black Diamond Package but if you also want to add the Sasquatch Package you will not be able to add the Heavy Duty Modular Front Bumper. Which is a little puzzling to me. As a note, if you want the Heavy Duty Modular Front Bumper you will need to add the Black Diamond Package.

Speaking of packages, Ford added the Black Diamond, Black Appearance, Free Wheeling, and Black Diamond Graphics Packages. The Black Diamond Package includes Advanced 4x4 with Automatic On Demand Engagement, Auxiliary Switches, Front and Rear Powder Coated Steel Bumpers, Full Vehicle Bash Plates, Interior Grab Handle on the Console, LED Fog Lamps, Rock Rails, Rubberized Flooring with Washout Covering and Drain Plugs, and 17” High-Gloss Black Aluminum Wheels.

The Black Appearance Package includes Black Molded-in-Color Door Handles, Mirror Caps, Fender Flares, and Grille. It also includes Shadow Black Painted Hardtop, 17” Black High-Gloss Painted Wheels, and Graphics Package.

The Free Wheeling Package includes Iconic Silver Painted Door Handles, Iconic Silver Painted Grille, White Bronco Letters with Red Accents, Sunset Graphics, Marine Grade Vinyl Seats with Sunset Cloth Seat Inserts, 17” Black Painted High-Gloss Wheels or 17” Bright Machine Black High-Gloss Wheels with Red Accents if you order the Sasquatch Package.

There are so many changes to standard and optional equipment on the entire Ford Bronco lineup, to learn all of them watch my video on all the changes of the 2025 Ford Bronco. I will cover some other trim level in upcoming blog posts, To stay updated on all Ford news, updates, and information follow FordVideoGuy on social media or go to www.youtube.com/@longmcarthurford
